Kym McDaniel, Christ Church Plano's missionary to the Anglican Diocese of Peru, organized the first Roof Dog Run in Plano in 2006 to raise funds for the Casa Hogar Anglican Children's Home in Arequippa, Peru.
More than 1,000 runners participated in the 2013 Roof Dog Run. Their registration fees, combined with sponsorships and donor partners, raised more than $70,000 for Casa Hogar.
Members of the 2013 Peru Construction Mission served as run volunteers and will wear official run tee shirts while in Juliaca.
